We celebrated our 10-year anniversary here and couldn’t have picked a better place. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was divine, and Stein’s thoughtful service made the evening unforgettable. Every dish felt like a treat, and the whole experience made our celebration extra special. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy more incredible food!
I rarely leave reviews for places but I feel this is an important one. My sweet wife and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this week and we choose Sicilia Mia as the place of choice to celebrate. This is the first time we have dined at this restaurant, and have heard great things from friends and I must say, we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, to the minute we left, we had the most amazing experience. Our server, Natani, was the most amazing server we have ever had, and the food and drinks are truly second to none. Thank you so much for making our night a very special one!!! We will indeed be back soon. And thanks to the Manager, Jake, for your hospitality. God bless!!!
My husband and I came in for dinner. We made a reservation for 8:30pm. We spent the time before walking around a local mall. This place is right by a grocery store, which made it feel even more local. We were given bread service and offered a variety of waters. I ordered the take on linguine and clams, my husband got their ribeye, and we shared the octopus. The pasta was house made and was thick. The sauce it came with was also a very creamy, decant, butter sauce. I enjoyed it throughly. My husband enjoyed the flavor of the ribeye. He did regret getting the full serving of butter on the steak though. The octopus was flavorful, but it could have been a bit more tender. I really did enjoy the sauce it came with though. All in all, we thought it was worth the money we spent. I would come back and try something new, if we ever come back to Salt Lake City.
If you’re looking for a home cooked, delicious Italian meal because you’re missing your Nonna… look no further. From the atmosphere to the service (shout out to Katelyn!!) this has been the best Italian restaurant experience of my life. The size of the appetizers are exactly what’s needed for a taste of flavors before the perfectly sized main course. Desserts are equally proportioned so you can leave full and satisfied!! Definitely ask for Katelyn so she can walk you through the menu!!
Here to reiterate the other reviews about the cozy, welcoming atmosphere and amazing service! Loved the moody Christmas feeling in there right now. The carbonara was as good as everyone says (my husband and I each got our own) and we shared the Bistecca alla griglia (steak with mushroom truffle butter) which had so much flavor and was so tender. It was the perfect amount of food and SO delicious. All of those dishes were served table side with fire and it felt like a little show just for us. We shared a pistachio gelato to finish on a sweet note and they threw in a complimentary cannoli for our 5th anniversary and those were both amazing. Our server Christian was very kind and attentive and the manager with the grey suit went out of his way to provide exceptional service and even run to open the door for us on the way out and wish us well. Everyone was so warm and friendly and it was an amazing meal and great place to celebrate a special occasion.
The outside aesthetics do not match the interior vibes. It’s super cool inside, fancy, and feels like a nice dinner out. but the outside does kind of make it look like an old place. The food is really good. Honestly, if you’re just gonna come here once, you have to get the pasta carbonara, it’s the classic experience. If you come back in the future, then there’s definitely other things you can try I’m sure, but the pasta carbonara is really yummy and it’s cool to see them bring out on the cheese wheel. We also liked the bruschetta. We would come back.
From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional. The Caesar salad and its dressing was crafted tableside with fresh ingredients, adding a personal touch that set the tone. Then came the wood-fired pizza; made with flour freshly imported from Italy; which delivered an authentic, rustic flavor that was simply unforgettable. The pasta samples were equally impressive, each bite bursting with homemade goodness. We haven’t even left our table yet, and we’re already planning our next two visits to this hidden gem.
The food was outstanding no matter what you order, and dessert is not to be missed—the cannoli is truly divine. Our waiter, Katelyn, was exceptional: attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. One important note: the floors were very slick, and someone in our party—who is paralyzed and using crutches—slipped and fell. It would be great to see this addressed to ensure guest safety. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with excellent food and service.
